A Legacy of Love, A Light That Never Fades
In memory of Adam & Hasina Taju – Esaale Thawaab & Sadaqah Jaariyah
We never imagined our goodbye would come so soon. In June 2025, we lost our beloved grandparents in the Air India flight crash. It was sudden. It was devastating and it left a silence that echoed through every corner of our lives.
But from that silence, something sacred began to grow.
They were the heart of our family — gentle, generous, full of faith. Their home was a place of laughter and unconditional love. Now, we carry their legacy forward in the most meaningful way we know.
In Indonesia, a masjid and a classroom are being built in their name. Not just bricks and mortar- but spaces of mercy. Places where prayers will rise, where children will learn, where goodness will multiply. Each drop of water, each whispered dua, each lesson taught will be a gift sent to them. A light in their graves, in shaa Allah.
This is our tribute. Our way of saying: You mattered. You still do and you always will.
Why We Chose This Path
After their passing, we wanted to honour them with something that wouldn’t fade- something that would keep giving, long after we’re gone.
Sadaqah jaariyah is that gift. It’s a mercy that flows endlessly and this project is our way of wrapping their memory in that mercy.
Updates & Reflections
We’ll be sharing regular updates as the masjid and classroom take shape. From the first foundations to the final prayers, every step will be documented- not just as progress, but as a story of love, loss and legacy.
“Masjid-e-Adam will echo with prayers, each one a light in their graves, in shaa Allah.”
